Paul And The Great Ali

Italian Walk Of Fame board member, Paul Farberman, with the great Muhammad Ali at the Celebrity Fight Night charity event in Phoenix Arizona a few weeks ago. The evening was hosted by funny lady and country music star, Reba McEntire. Randy Jackson, the American Idol nice guy, had the honor of introducing the legendary boxer to the stage. The entertainment was smokin’ as Glenn Frey, David Foster, Sam Moore and Charice provided the grand event with music and entertainment. NASCAR driver, Danica Patrick, and film producer Jerry Weintraub were among those to receive awards. And what would a hootenanny like this be without a live auction that included dinner with Muhammad Ali. Yes, that would be the one I would want along with a meet and greet with our own homegrown Michael Buble. Celebrity Fight Night has raised nearly $60 million in support of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Read about music sensation Ethan Bortnick.

National Congress Honors The Man

The honor was bestowed to Mr. Ciccolini for his exceptional leadership, community service, and fellowship in the community. Sam is the man behind numerous charitable causes including the Oaklands Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds to improve the quality of education and development of impoverished nations, and of which he is the Founder and President. The event attracted some of the most influential Italians in the community, including co-founders of IWOF, Marisa Beaco-Lang and Jimi Bertucci, General Consul of Italy Dr. Gianni Bardini, Senator Consiglio Di Nino, Toronto Mayoral candidates Joe Pantelone and Michael Rossi, and Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police, Julian Fantino. Those and many others contributed to making the evening memorable and successful.
