The Italian Walk of Fame is truly a labor of love for all those involved and signifies a symbol of gratitude to those Italians who sacrificed much so that their children and their children’s children be given all the opportunities possible. Individuals of Italian origin and their descendents have made tremendous contributions in all fields including business, science, music, art, film, theatre, finance, medicine, literature, architecture, religion and politics. The Italian Walk of Fame honors, with the placement of stars directly in the sidewalk, those Italians who through hard work, intellect and talent have changed the face of their communities and in many cases the world, becoming icons and legends in their own right.

September 7th, 2009 was an historic day for Italians everywhere with the launch of the 1st annual inductee event. The exciting day-long celebration began with the unveiling of the stars followed by a black-tie gala awards dinner. We hope that the establishment of the Italian Walk of Fame will not only educate but also inspire those who stroll along College Street gazing at the shiny brass names neatly imbedded in black granite.

It is with great personal pride that I invite you to visit the stars and to join us at our 3rd annual inductee ceremony to be held on Monday, September 5th, 2011.
